Blackpool Sands

We had a lovely afternoon trip down to Blackpool Sands yesterday. Taking the higher ferry to Dartmouth it is about an hour drive from The Cleveland Guest House. The scenery is stunning and the location of the beach is beautiful. There is a good cafe/restaurant with picturesque outdoor seating. The only downside is it is a shingle beach rather than sand, so no sandcastles! It made a nice change to get out of the bay and was well worth the drive, so if you want to go a bit further afield this comes recommended.
