13 Years at The Cleveland

Today marks 13 years since we took over The Cleveland.

It’s hard to believe it’s been that long.

When we first arrived back in 2013, we had plenty of ideas about what we wanted The Cleveland to become, but we probably couldn’t have imagined quite how much the business — and we — would change over the years.

There have been busy summers, quiet winters, long days, plenty of breakfasts, lots of washing up… and more guests than we could ever count.

We’ve welcomed couples celebrating anniversaries, families enjoying a few days by the sea, regular guests who now feel more like friends, and people who arrived as strangers and came back again and again.

Along the way, we’ve continued to make The Cleveland our own. We’ve worked hard to create comfortable rooms, serve an award-winning breakfast we’re proud of, and more recently, bring evening meals into the mix too.

But the thing that hasn’t changed is why we do it.

We genuinely enjoy looking after people.

After 13 years, we’re still here, still enjoying what we do and still very grateful that we get to call The Cleveland home.

Most of all, we want to say thank you.

Thank you to every guest who has stayed with us, left us a review, recommended us to friends or family, returned for another visit, or simply taken the time to say how much you enjoyed your stay.

Running a small independent B&B is very much a team effort, and our guests are a huge part of that.

So, today we’ll raise a glass to 13 years of The Cleveland — and to everyone who has been part of the journey.

Here’s to the next chapter.
