We’ve always believed that good food is an important part of a good stay.

Our evening meals are prepared with the same care and attention to quality that goes into our breakfasts, using quality ingredients and local produce wherever we can.

Our menu includes home-cooked favourites, lighter options and sharing plates, with regular daily specials adding a little variety.

Whether you fancy a full three-course dinner, something lighter after a busy day or a drink and a few sharing plates, there’s no need to leave The Cleveland.

Dinner is served at 6.30pm from Monday to Saturday.

If you would like to dine with us, your menu choices and any dietary requirements need to be pre-ordered by 6pm for the following evening.

For example, if you’d like dinner on the evening you arrive, we need to receive your choices by 6pm the day before your arrival.

We can cater for special dietary requirements where possible, provided we have prior notice.

Of course, staying in and dining with us doesn’t stop at dinner.

Breakfast is one of the things we’re particularly proud of at The Cleveland — and for many of our guests, it’s one of the highlights of their stay.

Breakfast is served from 8.30am to 9.30am, beginning with a buffet selection of juices, fruit and cereals, yoghurt and granola, followed by a freshly cooked breakfast chosen from our extensive menu.

We then finish with toast and our homemade marmalade and preserves.

We focus on quality ingredients and fantastic local suppliers, and The AA has recognised our breakfast with a Breakfast Award for 11 consecutive years.

Whenever we can, we like to support the fantastic independent producers and suppliers around us.

Some of the local businesses we’re proud to work with include:

Bailey & Son’s Butchers — a master butcher in Paignton sourcing directly from local farms.
Black Dog Eggs — delicious free-range eggs from Devon.
Hallett’s The Bakers — craft baked bread supplied from their bakery in Paignton.
Fish 4 All — our local fishmongers, just around the corner on Belgrave Road, supplying our fish and prawns.
Devon Coffee Company — our Torquay-based coffee supplier.
The Wine Box — just up the road and our wine supplier.
Bays Brewery — a family-run brewery in Paignton supplying local ales and craft lager.

For us, using local suppliers isn’t simply about putting “local” on the menu.

It’s about knowing where our ingredients come from and supporting the independent businesses around us.
